I included article marketing as one of the tips in yesterday’s article, 10 One Way Link Building Tips.

I wanted to share something with you that I recently received via snail mail. I received a very cool mouse pad in the mail from EzineArticles.com

It included a brief one page letter about my 2007 article marketing results, which were as follows:

For example, my most viewed article on EzineArticles.com was viewed 42,898 times!

That same article got the most clicks in 2007 – 1,188 clicks!

Those article marketing numbers are only the immediate stats direct from EzineArticles.com.

It doesn’t include things such as the number of other sites that posted the article, the number of one way links it generated, and the traffic those links on other sites generated.

It also doesn’t include the intangibles, like the joint venture opportunities that happen because other experts in my niche recognize my name.

That article took me about a half an hour to write. And it generated 1,188 visitors just from EzineArticles.com.

Don’t forget that is also extremely targeted traffic. Those visitors clicked through to my site AFTER reading that article.

They would only click through if they liked the article and wanted more of the same type of information.

Oh, and EzineArticles.com only sent this package out to 500 of their members out of over 82,000! There’s your other lesson in this bit.

Besides the results you can get from article marketing, it’s an example of great marketing by EzineArticles.com.

After all, their business is dependent on quality submissions from their top authors. It re-energized me to keep on top of my article marketing.

You want to make sure your press release is newsworthy.

For example, I should’ve done a press release for my fitness business when the silly Michael Moore “documentary” came out.

I could’ve piggybacked on that news to generate media attention for myself.

You should then have an attention grabbing headline and subhead.

Just like copywriting to sell a product, you need a headline that grabs the reader’s attention.

Remember, with a press release, you are basically writing sales copy that is selling the media on your story.

On the flip side of that the body of the press release itself should not like like sales copy or advertising. You need to stick the facts.

Be controversial.

If people aren’t driven by your press release to have a strong opinion of you one way or the other, you’re not doing your job and people just won’t care.

You really do want to evoke strong emotions so that people fall into one camp or the other.

People like Howard Stern and Donald Trump are loved and hated. It’s a good part of the reason they are successful and able to get in the news.

Keep these press release tips in mind when crafting your pr campaign.

I guess you could say there’s a really big but there so Sir Mix A Lot would be happy.

Most, but not all, Adwords ebooks focus on two things; making money on Adwords by selling products as an affiliate or by selling the book you just bought that’s supposed to tell you how to make money using Adwords!

As for the second one, don’t waste your time.

There’s way too much competition jacking up the bid prices and you’re all selling the same product. Remember when Affiliate Project X launched?

How could you make a profit on a one off sale like that? You couldn’t.

The only person making money in that situation is the product owner.

What do I mean by that?

For starters, don’t just look for a good product to sell.

Look for good products that are in the same niche that complement each other.

For example, a series of Golf instructional dvd’s – one on putting, one on chipping, one on long irons, one on driving, etc.

Then, instead of trying to make a profit off of your initial sale, try to get your visitors to optin to your email newsletter.

Before going live with Adwords, you’ll have a series of autoresponder messages that promote a variety of related products as an affiliate.

Once you go live with your campaign on Google Adwords you have to constantly test and track everything you do.

By doing this you’ll eventually be able to determine how much each visitor is worth to you.

When that’s done, you know exactly how much you can pay for each visitor and still enjoy a profit.
